Rick Perry’s Department of Energy passes Freedom Gas

On Tuesday, the Department of Energy posted a press release about liquid natural gas exports, referring to natural gas as “freedom gas” and “molecules of “U.S. freedom.” The release was about the Department of Energy’s authorization of increased exports of natural gas from a terminal located off the coast of Texas. 

“Increasing export capacity from the Freeport LNG project is critical to spreading freedom gas throughout the world by giving America’s allies a diverse and affordable source of clean energy,” said U.S. Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes at an announcement in a conference in Vancouver, Canada.
