safe and sorry

medications are out of dc, recording for dischord, and are a real thrill. check out their song safe and sorry. the very unsafe guitarist is devin ocampo, who i thought i was familiar with back in the late 90s when i worked at perishable records…devin was roped into the small army of musicians that toured as HiM, one of doug scharin’s (june of ‘44) innumerable projects. they were a kind of fusiony proto-antibalas with a monster horn jones. medications sounds nothing like that, and i dig em like potatoes.
